Thomas Chandler graduated with a Masters of Architecture from the University of Tasmania in 2016, receiving a high distinction for his final project. Thomas has been awarded multiple summer research scholarships from 2014 to 2016 examining topics ranging from building science to urban speculation.
Thomas was placed on the Dean’s Roll of Excellence at the University of Tasmania in 2014. While studying he has worked as a research assistant on various projects for the federal government and industry bodies tackling condensation issues within Australian housing.
In 2014 Thomas embarked on a study tour of Italy to absorb the classical architecture of the greats. A passion for classic cars feeds into his interest in architectural detail and built form. This has given him an appreciation of the time and energy required to produce bespoke outcomes.
Growing up in the countryside he identifies with the unique lifestyle Tasmania offers.
